The one-mile course starts at the Historic Boise Train Depot and ends at the State Capitol with a Finish Fair in Cecil D. Andrus Park. Everyone is a winner and receives a medal and t-shirt. \nWe are excited to announce that the Treasure Valley Family YMCA and Saint Alphonsus have teamed up to bring back this beloved event. Our organizations’ missions are closely aligned and we are eager to work together to improve the health of our community – especially our youth! \nRegistration:\nOnline registration will open March 1\, 2023 – through May 31\, 2023\nIn-Person registration will only be available on June 1st at Big Al’s from noon-7:00 pm.\nNo race day registrations. \nNeed Financial Assistance?\nAll children deserve the chance to realize their potential and participate in our events. Join us at Big Al’s to collect your bib number\, your child’s t-shirt and designate a colored flag to meet your child at in the Finish Line area. \nThere is no race day registration or packet pick up available. \n\n\n\n\n\nRace Start & Drop Off Area\n\nAll racers need to be at the Boise Depot between 9:00 and 9:30am on Saturday\, June 3. The drop-off lane at Eastover Terraces closes at 9:30am. There is no registration or packet pick up on race day.  You can get back down to the Capitol and Cecil D Andrus Park by going Crescent Rim/Latah/Americana or Crescent Rim/Peasley/Rose Hill/Visit/Capitol Blvd. (please note – this route will be CLOSED after 9:40am\, as the police will close northbound traffic at University Drive). \nRace Drop at the Boise Depot: Drop off is just that\, drop off. Parents need to stay in their vehicles and allow the Race Volunteers to escort their racers from the car to the proper starting area. Please do not get out of your vehicle. Tip: Take your pre-race pictures at home. \nRace Bib: Bib numbers need to be pinned to front of the body on the out most layer of clothing. Do not exchange bibs numbers among siblings or friends\, each child’s name and emergency contact and color of flag where the child is meeting their family will be on the back of the bib to help with confusion.\nThis race is a chip timed event\, on the back of the bib is a timing chip. There’s also a playground for kids before/during/or after the race (we are not responsible for watching your kids though while you race). The 10k &20K courses will have water/Gatorade/and Honey Stinger Gels for racers at 3\, 5\, 6\, 9\, 11 mile marks. The course features views of Cottonwood mountain\, fields of crops\, beef cows & horses\, and potentially numerous wildlife! This time of year should still be fairly cool\, though PLEASE plan for Mosquitos! (We will have a variety of repellents available\, but bring your own if you are sensitive.) Though the course is open to track\, there are few residents along the route and traffic will be minimal. The Willowcreek Store & Cafe will be open across the street for after race specials! And if any racers are interested Dairylain Farms will be giving tours of their robotic dairy facility at 11am (after racers have finished). All proceeds from this race go to the Steens Running Camp Fund for the Vale Cross Country Team. \n

All finishers will receive a t-shirt and swag bag with a finisher’s medal and goodies from local businesses. \nEvent cap is 500 participants.  Register early for discount pricing & to secure your spot!  Last years’ event was sold out! \nThis event is entirely put on by volunteers with the proceeds going towards local trail improvement projects in the Magic Valley!
