Climbs of 5000’+\, 3500’+ and 2000’+ anchor this monster with lots of rolling canyon bottom terrain. There will be a mandatory kit of gear and nutrition\, two manned aid stations and some water stations along the way. Right up there with the most challenging races of this distance on Earth. 7AM Saturday start time. \n26K: The classic loop. Up Blue Gulch and over the top of Cannonball Mountain\, down to McRea Cabin and back through the canyon to finish. 6000+’ climbing for 16.5 miles. One manned aid station and a few water stations. 8AM Saturday start time \n2-3K Vertical Race FRIDAY 5PM. FREE for entrants of the 53 and 26K\, possibly a small entry fee for others\, we will announce this shortly depending on the US Forest Permit approvals. This is an UPHILL ONLY RACE (1-2 miles with 2500 feet climb) to the summit of Challenger Peak. This is the peak immediately above the Hatchery and Trailhead. We have named it Challenger Peak to honor the sacrifices of the Challenger Shuttle Astronauts on this 40th year since the tragedy. We will start at the Hatchery and climb to the Peak and the race ends there. We will walk down together and have some fun up top and along the way down. For the Fighters\, the Survivors\, and the Taken — We Remember\, We Fight\, We Hope.  We will gather to stroll the blocks along Harrison Boulevard in Boise\, Idaho.  The rain or shine stroll is one loop – starting and ending where you please – clockwise around the boulevard. THERE IS NO START OR FINISH LINE!! Enjoy the historic homes\, the festive flocking décor\, the encouraging homeowner decorations as well as sponsor support. The stroll can be done any time between 10 and noon around the 1 mile loop of Harrison boulevard. DESCRIPTION:2026 run details\nRun for Dunn is a fun\, all-ages\, all-abilities\, approximately 3-mile run/walk at Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park\, 500 S Walnut St\, Boise\, ID 83712. As part of the sun safety mission\, we have developed a partnership with dermatologists from Mountain Pine Dermatology and St. Luke’s Cancer Institute to offer free skin cancer screenings to all registered participants of Run for Dunn. \nAll participants receive free access to skin screenings\, a Run for Dunn t-shirt\, and lunch. \nCost: Early-bird pricing: $30 for adults\, $20 for kids (up to 12 years old) – After April 1: $35 for adults\, $20 for kids (up to 12 years old). \nDate and Time: Sunday\, May 31\, 2026 – 10:30 am. \nWhere: Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park\, Boise\, Idaho – 500 Walnut St. in Boise. The run will start and end at the shelter and will take place along the Boise Greenbelt.  \nDistance: Run for Dunn is an approx 3-mile fun run/walk\, no timing chips. (Course Map) \nPacket Pickup & Screenings: Packet pick-up will be on the day of the race from 9:00 – 10:30 am at the Municipal Park shelter. Skin screenings will run from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm in partnership with St. Luke’s Cancer Institute. All virtual participants and those who cannot be physically present on race day will either be mailed shirts or arranged for pick-up post-race. \nDeadline: Register by Friday\, May 8\, to guarantee your t-shirt size.
